This morning's race 3 of our Spring Duathlon Series saw some very tight racing and great results.
33 starters contested 4 divisions with the field evenly spit between Tristars, Super-Sprint & Sprint distances along the tight Coles Beach circuit.
Jake Birtwhistle had a very close race with Johno Butler in the Open Sprint distance race (2/15/2) with the lead swapping almost every lap until Jake's run form bought home the win after T2. Emma Smith backed up from her win in our last race to again take out the women's open race from Pia Austin.
A very strong and competitive field contested the shorter Super-Sprint race (1/10/1) with 10 of our up-and-coming future stars in the 12-15 year youth division battling it out at a very hot pace. Everyone improved their time over the previous race with Jock Tate winning from Georgia O'Rourke in a close race.
